Domino Records wanted a campaign that drove awareness around the launch of the album while giving it the Hot Chip treatment.
The album title presented me with all sorts of opportunity. It conjures up weird, wonderful, random images in our minds, and begs the question:
“What does a bath full of ecstasy actually look like?”

Everyone has their own interpretation. Ecstasy can look or feel like many different things to different people, and that’s what I wanted to explore.
The idea was to create a series of videos with a dreamscape ethereal look and feel that would grab the users attention and keep them wanting to see what was in the bathtub and generally get them thinking wtf
Besides the album title, I also had the album cover which was created by Jeremy Deller (above) to use as a creative reference which influenced the lighting and set up of each video to give each a unique look while being part of a suite.
The creative had to work for multiple formats, making sure it was tweaked to suit the technical restrictions.
